Nurse Practitioner/Emergency Care Practitioner Vacancy

4 – 8 sessions per week
(16 - 32 hours per week)
Hourly rate up to £21.42 depending on experience

An opportunity has arisen to join this forward thinking, teaching practice located on the outskirts of Peterborough. We have a list of 15,700 which is growing. We achieve full QOF points, and have been awarded the RCGP Quality Practice Award twice. The practice adopted a Doctor First access system five years ago for all GP and Nurse Practitioner appointments. Lead by a GP Partner, you would be one of 4 Nurse Practitioners/Emergency Care Practitioners in an overall Nursing Team of 13 including, 6 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs, all working together to provide same day, first class primary care.

Our Nurse Practitioners are key members of our team. You will be responsible for treating a range of illnesses and injuries and prescribing where necessary or able. All patient calls are triaged by a doctor and patients are seen on that day.

The ideal candidate will already hold a BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care or equivalent. You will have a passion for clinical work and an enjoyment of working as part of a committed team. If you are currently a Practice Nurse and this is a role to which you aspire please get in touch. Full training and support will be provided.
